The decorative beams, boards and consoles are the lightest decorative element made of extruded polystyrene with a solid polymer coating. They are characterized by excellent decorative properties, high mechanical strength, moisture resistance, heat insulation, sound insulation and durability. They are used for interior and exterior decoration. These properties don’t change even after a long service life. For bonding use PU Foam / Glue - CERESIT CT 84 Express 850 ml.
Cutting and processing
Cutting and processing of beams, consoles and boards are done with hand tools for processing wood with very small teeth. In small cuts and adjustments can be used sturdy sharp knife. The final processing is done with coarse sandpaper (60 - 80) wrapped around a log.
A/ Cut the beams and boards to the required size. Mark the joints and touch the assemblies. Check if they fit well. You need to get a very thin fugue.
B/ Apply the glue to the main components that will be installed first. CERESIT CT 84 Express 850 ml adhesive is recommended. Support the glued elements to the ceiling with props with a soft pad for about 15 - 20 minutes. Before removing the props, check the bonding strength. Attention: Before gluing the beams, boards and consoles, check the base isn’t dirty or damp. The strength of the adhesive and the rate of polymerization / sticking depends on the ambient temperature.
C/ Install the cross beams or boards after the polymer has completely glued the already glued elements.
D/ The last elements usually include consoles and metal metal hardware.
A/ Like the first option.

D/ Press the beams to the ceiling and fix them with screws on both sides through them. For larger beam lengths, it is recommended that they be fix in several places in order not to slacken.
Processing of fugues and joints
The joints between the assembled elements can be sealed with an acrylic wood kit and painted in the same color with the manufacturer's paints. The relevant manufacturer's paints is available in the site in 50-100 ml cuts. The CERESIT CT 84 Express 850 ml adhesive is also available.
